What Is Enhance?
Enhance is a new feature in NDE designed to help users improve the quality and clarity of text written in clinical notes. With a single click, users can refine their entries with AI-powered suggestions—without losing their original content or disrupting their workflow.
Where Enhance Is Available
Currently, Enhance is only enabled for specific, pre-configured notes in your organization. It will not appear on all notes by default.
Note: Enhance relies on a note being properly configured and recognized by the system. If the feature does not appear, it may be due to a configuration issue.
How to Use Enhance
Enter a supported note
Click into any text field
A small launcher icon will appear with:
Enhance
Disable
Click Enhance:
The sidebar will temporarily switch to the Enhance mode
AI-generated suggestions based on your text will appear
You can now choose:
Use Text – Replace the current field text with the enhanced suggestion
Retry – Generate a new suggestion (up to 3 times)
Close – Return to your original text without changes
Regardless of your choice, the system will return to the same state you were in before activating Enhance (e.g., suggestion mode, capture session, minimized sidebar).
Behavior Notes
Works even if the sidebar is minimized
After Enhance is closed, the sidebar returns to its previous state
Enhance suggestions do not overwrite your text unless you explicitly choose to use them
Retry Limits
Users can click Retry up to three times
After the third attempt, the Retry button will be grayed out
Troubleshooting: Enhance Not Appearing?
If you do not see the Enhance button in a field where you expect it:
Confirm that the note is supported and properly configured
Check that the organization configuration includes this note
Ensure the field is being recognized as part of a saved note
If all else fails, report it to Support—there may be an issue with:
The note configuration
The save note functionality
The context-aware logic that powers Enhance
