Log In and Open the Sidebar
Log into your EHR.
In your browser, click the Eleos extension next to the address bar and log in with your credentials.
A dark blue circle with the Eleos logo will appear on the right side of your screen. Click and hold the six dots to reposition it on your screen.
Click the Eleos logo to open the Sidebar. To minimize it, click the arrow in the top corner.
Capture an Audio Session
Open the Sidebar and click the ‘Audio’ button.
At this point, a browser message will pop up, asking you to allow microphone access, please click ‘Allow.’
Want to enable the microphone at a later stage? Click the button on the left side of the address bar, choose ‘Settings,’ go to ‘Microphone’ and toggle the button to allow.
Before you can start capturing your audio session, provide information regarding the session using three drop-downs. This will feed into the Eleos AI and will help generate a fully developed note.
‘Session Type’
‘Setting,’ either in-Person or Telehealth.
‘Note Type’ - If you can’t find the note type you need, don't hesitate to get in touch with your customer success manager to add it.
Select the ‘Live Session’ and be sure to test your sound level.
Currently, we support built in or plugged in microphone, but not headphones.
If you're conducting a telehealth session, ensure the telehealth platform and Eleos Sidebar use the same live session.
Select a ‘Client’ from the dropdown or add a new one via the blue ‘+’ button.
Ready? Click ‘Capture Session.’ Now, you’ll see the ‘Session in Progress’ Screen. You can keep the Sidebar open or minimize it using the arrow, but make sure not to close the browser or tab—this will discard the session.
When the session is over, click ‘End Session.’ Don’t close the browser or tab—this will discard your session.
To access the generated note, click the ‘Sessions’ button on the Sidebar.
Find the desired session and click to expand it. If your session has an orange border and is marked as ‘Session Analysis in process,’ click ‘Refresh,’and once the session is ready, it will turn blue.
Click the ‘Select Session’ to enter the note and view the suggestions.
Enter Text Summary
To start a new note, open the Sidebar and click the ‘Text’ button. You will be directed to the note generation screen.
Provide session details by filling out the required fields: Session Type, Population, Note Type, Client Name, Date and Time.
Once you’re done, the ‘Next’ button will be enabled, click it to continue.
Enter your summary of the session in the text field using bullet points. Not sure what to write? Click the ‘What should I write?’ link in the bottom of the screen.
Please note, if you exit the screen before clicking ‘Generate Note,’ your bullet points will be discarded.Below the text field, you will see the ‘Smart Suggestions’ dropdowns, these are meant to help collect additional context. For example, interventions used, plans formulated with the client, indications regarding mental status, etc. Choose whether to add your responses or skip them.
Once you’re done, click the ‘Generate Note’ button below. The note will be generated within a few moments.
Now, you can review the Eleos suggestions in the ‘Review your note’ screen. Your suggestions are now saved and will not be discarded. You can come back at a later time to populate the note into your EHR.
Populate the Note into Your EHR
Whether you captured an audio session or entered text summary, use this process to review and suggestions and add them to the note within your EHR
Navigate with your cursor to the progress note within your EHR, click on a field within the note and it will be highlighted.
Choose the desired suggestion in the Sidebar and click ‘Add’ to insert the content into the highlighted field in your EHR.
Please note that you can edit a note in the EHR once it is populated. Once you’re finished adding all the suggestions, click the ‘Mark as submitted’ button.This will place the note under the ‘Completed’ tab under ‘My Sessions.’
